Rochester is a city on Lake Ontario in New York State. Only New York City and Buffalo have a population exceeding this city, which makes opportunities for conducting open-air evangelism plentiful.
Erin Chervenak is our OAC staff person in this location since coming on board with us in June of 2015, but she has been sharing her faith since becoming a Christian shortly after her high school graduation. She actively conducts evangelistic outreach throughout Rochester and surrounding areas and uses the sketchboard for kids’ clubs in city and county parks. Erin is active in campus ministry, street evangelism in Rochester’s downtown area, and a mosque outreach in the Southern Tier. In recent days, she has started a mailbox club for children.
